England defeats Netherlands by 160 runs in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup

Ben Stokes's century boosted England as they beat Netherlands by 160 runs in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup this morning.

The defending champions hopes of progressing to the semi finals were already over but a win against Netherlands does improve their chances of qualifying for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

England's second win in eight games lifts them from bottom of the table to seventh place with one match to play against Pakistan on Saturday.

Securing a place in the semi final ended with a Netherlands loss.

Sri Lanka will face New Zealand at 8.30 tonight.
