Christmas specifically is the time to do what Christ would do and he is a prime example, his whole life was spent amongst the handicapped and less fortunate.

Pacific Area Seventy Leader Elder Paul Whippy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints highlighted this during his Christmas message saying as we try to emulate his life in everything we do as individuals.

He says Christmas invites feelings of tenderness, joy and love and as any parent will attest similar feelings attend the birth of each new born child.

Elder Whippy says of course Christ’s birth was unlike any other, the precious details, journey to Bethlehem, an overcrowded inn, a lowly manger, a new born star, administering angels make this a story for the ages.

He says yet the story of the Saviour’s birth represents only a part of why we feel the spirit during the Christmas season.

Elder Whippy says Christmas is not only a celebration of how Jesus came into the world but also of knowing who he is, our Saviour, Lord, Jesus Christ and of why he came.
