BSP launches Fiji's first Smart ATMs

BSP launches Fiji's first Smart ATMs

Fiji’s first fleet of Smart ATMs have been delivered by Bank South Pacific (BSP) reaffirming their long-standing commitment to delivering modernised banking services.

They say a key advantage of these ATMs is that they allow both BSP and non-BSP customers to make cash deposits that are credited instantly into their own or a third party’s BSP account.

BSP Country Head, Haroon Ali says currently, majority of staff assisted branch transactions are for cash deposits by their own and other bank customers.

Ali says deploying this fleet of Smart ATMs at all major locations is envisioned to reduce branch foot traffic and shorten queues as customers now have the freedom to make deposits at their own time.

He says these Smart ATMs are now available at Suva Central, Damodar City and Nausori branches in the Central Division; Nadi and Lautoka branches in the Western Division and Labasa branch in the North.

The Country Head says this initiative is another step forward in BSP’s digital transformation journey.

He says they are investing in technology that makes banking smarter and more accessible for every Fijian, ensuring their services keep pace with modern lifestyles and customer expectations.

Ali says they continue to provide Fiji’s largest banking network with 17 branches; 122 ATMs, 6 of which are Smart ATMs; over 3,000 EFTPoS terminals, and postal agencies nationwide.
