Sugarcane farmers across the country can now access support and lodge complaints anytime, anywhere, through a new 24/7 toll-free customer care helpline 1569.

While launching the helpline, Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, Charan Jeath Singh says the initiative is a direct response to the frustrations and challenges faced by sugarcane farmers over the years, including delayed responses and unclear service pathways.

He says farmers often face challenges, whether it's delayed responses, being sent from one office to another, or not knowing who to turn to – and now, this helpline will change that.

Singh adds the helpline is more than just a contact number — it is a commitment to transparency, responsiveness, and accountability.

The Minister is encouraging farmers to make full use of the helpline.

The Sugar Ministry says helpline 1569 is available on all mobile networks, and calls will be answered by Ministry staff who will log the issue, refer it to the relevant stakeholder, and ensure a response is provided within 24 hours.
