15,000 affected Fijians in Vanua Levu have received their $100 unemployment assistance from the Fijian Government as part of the first batch of payments.
$1.5 million has been paid out yesterday.
The Government says that more payments will be made soon as the verification process is currently underway.
The payment will be made directly to the beneficiaries of MPAiSA or MyCASH accounts.
