Bad weather conditions at the Oceania 7s

The organisers of the Oceania 7's have decided that games will resume at 5.10pm at the ANZ stadium.

The matches are currently on hold because of adverse weather conditions.

The Fiji Airways National 7's team is lined up to play Samoa and Australia is to face New Zealand in the cup semis.

Fiji thrashed Cook Islands 57-nil earlier today in the cup quarters.

Waisea Nacuqu who has been impressive so far scored two tries, Josua Vakurinabuli also scored two tries while Vatemo Ravouvou, Samu Bale, Paula Dranisinukula, Kalione Nasoko and Alekesio Vakarorogo scored a try each.

Jerry Tuwai together with Nacuqu and Dranisinukula have been giving strong performances throughout the tournament.

Fiji’s Coach Gareth Baber says they are now expecting a physical encounter against Samoa.

Australia beat PNG in the first quarterfinal 22‑21 while New Zealand thrashed American Samoa 58‑0.

Samoa hammered Tonga 45‑0 in the third quarter-final.
