Good news for people in Tavua and Rakiraki as they will now have easier access to important X-ray services following the successful installation of new floor-mounted digital X-ray machines at the Tavua and Rakiraki hospitals.

The Ministry of Health acknowledged the work of the local biomedical team for completing the installation, while Medical Imaging Technicians at both hospitals are expected to undergo training next week on the use and maintenance of the new equipment.

The new machines will allow patients to access vital X-ray services closer to home, reducing the need to travel to Lautoka or Suva for medical imaging services.
