Concerned people have made urgent calls to the Minister for Home Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua to check what it would take for the Police to effectively deal with the blatant selling of hard drugs like methamphetamine in Nadonumai, Lami.

People sent in their concerns during fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan last night, and asked Tikoduadua to act as hard drugs is being openly sold day and night in front of children, women and men on a daily basis at the Nadonumai roundabout near a common driveway on the left.

They say vehicles keep coming in for pick ups and when they call the Police, it seems the people involved are contacted, as they disappear for a while, before reappearing to continue selling the drugs.

Tikoduadua says people can contact him if action is not being taken and his mobile number is 9904123.

He also says the Police Reset will also focus on the effective and efficient delivery of their service to the people.

Tikoduadua confirmed this morning that he has spoken to Police about these concerns raised on the show last night.
