Riteshni Singh shows nothing is impossible with her Suva Food Stall

Riteshni Devi Singh stands as a symbol of resilience and determination, continuing to run her food stall at Suva Market near the Police Post for about eight years now, despite ongoing economic challenges.

Singh has spent years building her small business, selling roti, affordable $5 packed rice and curry meals, and occasionally cakes.

The 47-year-old started with just 50 rotis, which grew into a steady source of income as demand increased.

However, her journey has not been easy.

Like many small vendors, Singh faced severe disruption during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sales dropped significantly during that time, but with persistence and hard work, she managed to rebuild her business as conditions improved.

As a single mother, Singh carries significant responsibilities.

She supports her daughter, currently in her first year of MBBS and cares for her elderly mother.

She is also managing house payments after the passing of her sister, adding further financial pressure.

Her message to other women, especially those considering starting a business, is “Nothing is impossible.”
