Many step forward to support CFL Foundation Charity Walk

An appeal is being made for people to support the CFL Foundation Charity Walk today and help raise money for children living with cancer and their family as they go through a lot of challenges.

This message is being shared by Senior Content Director of Navtarang and Radio Sargam, Satya Nand.

Nand says a lot of people have come forward from Fiji and the diaspora but a lot more is needed.

Nand says we need assistance for the children who need treatment so they can buy medication and pay for other related expenses.

He says he has spoken to families of a child fighting cancer, and reflects that taking care of their needs is a huge challenge.

He says this is a very worthy cause and a lot of people have come forward to donate money or assist in kind.

According to recent statistics from WOWS Kids Fiji, there are currently 70 children under 18 years of age living with cancer.

We believe that this number is what is on record and that the actual number is higher.

The CFL Foundation Charity Walk has started this morning from Nausori to Suva.

CFL, the parent company of FM96, LegendFM, VITIFM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam, and the country's leading digital news platform fijivillage, launched its new charitable trust, CFL Foundation in September last year with the company contributing 5 percent of the Group's profit after tax.

For decades, CFL has been dedicated to community service, regularly stepping up to help children with special needs, those facing serious health issues like cancer, and families impacted by natural disasters.

From fundraising efforts for cyclone relief to supporting individuals with terminal illnesses, CFL has built a strong reputation for making a real difference through its platforms.

Collections will take place at multiple locations, including our home at 231 Waimanu Road in Suva, where a team will be on hand to receive donations and engage with members of the public, with refreshments also available.

Another team will be stationed at Rups Mega Complex in Nakasi, Tappoo City in Suva, while in the West, groups will operate across Tavua, Ba and Rakiraki, while another will be based in Lautoka, Nadi and Sigatoka.

Donations can be sent via:

Communications Fiji Limited Appeal Account

WBC Account 9800935794

You can also send your donation via the M-Paisa or MyCash apps by selecting CFL in the vendor drop down list.

We also extend a personal invitation to you to join hands with us for this worthy cause, and join our charity walk or make your contribution to assist the children living with cancer.
