Instead of drugs people should dedicate themselves to spiritual development - Dr Maharaj

General Practitioner Dr Rajesh Maharaj says instead of indulging in drugs, alcohol, kava and smoking, people should dedicate themselves to spiritual development, community service and moral and ethical practices.

Following the Pastoral Workshop, in an interview with fijivillage News, Dr Maharaj says people should turn to God, as the Almighty does not want us to take drugs, steal or hate one another.

He stresses the need for unity, urging people to remain united as one big family and contribute towards nation-building.

Dr Maharaj says people must act now, and every citizen has a role to play in the fight against drugs.

He adds that Reverend Manasa Kolivuso is absolutely right in saying that there is no time to blame each other, as the Government or the Police Department cannot solve the problem on their own.
