2 officers and two civilians remain in custody on meth related offences

Two police officers and two civilians who were charged with methamphetamine-related offences allegedly committed last year have been further remanded in custody.

Sevuloni Lubi, 43, Ratu Lote Lewaivanua, 32, Alipate Matadigo, 36, and Eroni Kitanamati Bati, 37, appeared before Justice Daniel Goundar in the Suva High Court this morning.

Defence counsel for the fourth accused stated in court that he had filed the bail application numerous times, but it was rejected.

The State counsel opposed the bail application.

The matter will be called again on the 6th of March.
