Water truck filling the tank at CWM Hospital
Surgeries, dialysis and laboratory tests are all affected at the CWM Hospital Emergency East Wing Building since yesterday due to inconsistent water supply.

This has been confirmed by a concerned CWM Hospital Medical Superintendent, Doctor Luke Nasedra as they have been facing low pressure issues since yesterday and no water trucks came until last night although requests were made to the Water Authority of Fiji.

Doctor Nasedra says they use about 20,000 litres of water in half a day, and need to have consistent supply in order to run their machines for surgeries, dialysis and lab tests.

He says the water truck is filling the tank today however they need the issue of inconsistent supply addressed urgently by WAF.

Minister for Health, Doctor Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu confirms the low pressure issue from WAF, and that they have made arrangements for back up water carting to maintain supply while awaiting fully supply from WAF.

The first truck is filling 10,000 litres of water to the East Wing.

They have received another 20,000 litres of water this hour and a booster pump is pushing water up to the head tank and the building is starting to receive water.

We have sent questions to WAF and Minister for Works, Ro Filipe Tuisawau on how they are dealing with this.
