Peoples Alliance Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka

People’s Alliance Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says they are writing to the Supervisor of Elections, Army Commander and Office of the President about what has transpired last night in relation to the provisional results in the 2022 general elections as they have no faith in the provisional results announced after the glitch on the Fijian Elections Office app.

In a press conference, Rabuka says they have evidence in the form of the protocol of results from the polling stations to show that they have more votes.

He says this raises the question on what happened last night.

Rabuka says there has been no independent audit of the system glitch, which is also a concern.

Rabuka says they will convey their feelings to the Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem to say that they are not satisfied with the outcome after the FEO app glitch last night.

Rabuka says before the glitch, the People’s Alliance was ahead in the count and when the system came back on, there was a big change which was not in the party’s favour.

He says they will do everything according to the law, and people should remain calm.
