Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection phasing out manual voucher payment process from this month

Manual voucher payment process is being phased out by the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection with effect from this month.

The Ministry says there will be a slight change to direct cash payment at Post Offices.

They say that Social Welfare recipients on the Family Assistance, Care and Protection, Social Pension and Disability Allowance Scheme who collect their monthly allowance from either postal agencies or post offices.

The Ministry is advising recipients on the new payment mode who have access to Post Offices, they can now receive their allowance tomorrow, Monday 8th January, 2024.

They say recipients will be required to present their July – Dec 2023 voucher cover with the Department of Social Welfare ID card and or National valid ID Card.

The Ministry says if they have any queries on this change, please visit their nearest Social Welfare office or contact the following offices for further advice, Southern Eastern Division, Suva on 9980322, Central Division, Nausori on 9987107, Western Division,Ba on 9904182 or Northern Division, Labasa on 9906187.

They say Cash Voucher recipients that will still continue to be on vouchers are those that use the following Postal Agencies or Post Offices for instance Kadavu has a few locations, at their Post Offices in Dravuni, Naleca and Vunisea.

For those in Lau at the Postal Agencies in Fulaga, Kabara, Komo, Namuka I Lau, Narocivo, Ogea, Vatoa, Cicia, Matuku, Moce and for Tuvuca recipients will going to Lomaloma, Vanuavatu recipients in Lakeba, Ono I Lau, Oneata recipients cashing in at Moce.

The Ministry says for Lau at the Post Offices in Lomaloma, Naroi, Lakeba, Moala and Tubou.

They say for those in Lomaiviti, they can get them at the Postal Agencies in Nawaikama and Vadravadra or at the Post Offices in Levuka, Qarani and Nasau.

The Ministry says for those in Vanua Levu to go o their Post Offices in Kubulau, Labasa, Lekutu, Nabouwalu, Savusavu and Taveuni.

For those in Viti Levu that access these Post Offices can go there Ba, Nadi, Korovou, Nasinu, Nausori, Navua, Rakiraki, Suva, Tavua, Vunidawa while for those in Rotuma they can go to Ahau.
