Emerging designer, Bulou Caeway whose life took a dark turn is encouraging single mothers not to lose hope.

She says there is a lot of opportunities out there and encouraged single mothers to boost their capabilities by finding something that inspires them.

Speaking about her journey, Caeway says the inspiration to become a fashion designer came from her late husband who passed away when she was two weeks away from giving birth to her daughter, Aurora which is also her collection’s name.

Giving a hint about her collection, Caeway says she will be showcasing 15 resort collections.

She has thanked her sponsor, French Pacific Trading for sponsoring her during these challenging times, tailor Kamal Singh and the Kumkee sports team for helping her complete the last few pieces.

She says she is planning to open a boutique in Lautoka by mid next year.

The first ever virtual Palmolive Fiji Fashion Week will start on November 22nd.
