17th Fiji Fashion Week amazes people with outstanding designs

The 17th Vodafone Fiji Fashion Week Resort Cruise Show 2024 was a hit as talented designers amazed the audience with their outstanding designs at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

The Resort Cruise Show featured renowned designers such as, Temesia Tuicaumia, Zulfikar Ali, Bex Peterson, Malu o Aiga, Libbey Ah Kee, Littman Qoroniyasi, Hilda Mando, Cynthia Cebujano, Selina Talakuli and Hupfeld Hoerder while Tracey Ann Farrington closed the show.

Zulfikar Ali, whose label is known as AZA, says he has 30 years of experience, and it has been a roller coaster journey for him.

Ali showcased Indian authentic and elegant Indian designs using bright colours that were beautiful and pleasing to watch.

Ali says he was half way through preparing for the collection when he learned that the theme was natural beauty.

In an interview with fijivillage News, he says the feedback he receives from his customers motivates him to do better every day.

Meanwhile, Fiji Fashion Week Managing Director, Ellen Whippy-Knight says the opening night went really well, and she is grateful for the new looks this year.

Whippy-Knight says there are lots of innovative designs that are part of fashion shows.

She adds that there are some new designers as well who did amazing work.

The Student Designer Show will be held at 9am today while the Resort Luxe will be held at 6pm.

Both shows will be held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
