The Government has activated work from home plans for civil servants, while essential services are to remain open.
The Ministry of Civil Service says this comes into effect following consultation with the National Disaster Risk Management Office.
They say Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Agencies are advised to activate their business continuity plans and non-essential staff should work remotely where possible while Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Agencies may authorise localised office closure, scaling-down of operations, or adjusted reporting arrangements where access is unsafe.
The Government says staff should not be required to travel through flooded roads, unsafe crossings, coastal inundation areas, landslide-prone areas, or debris-affected routes.
They say work from home arrangements should also be applied for parents and guardians affected by the national school closure.
This advice is issued in light of the current weather conditions, including the Heavy Rain Warning and Strong Wind Warning in force for the whole country.
