The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team has finished in fourth place in the Dubai 7s after losing to England 28‑21 in the Bronze final this morning.

Amenoni Nasilasila and Vatemo Ravouvou scored two tries for Fiji in the first half as the halftime score read 21‑14 in favour of England.

England started off the second half strongly and scored a try to make it 28‑14.

Replacement, Josua Vakurunabili scored Fiji’s only try in the second half to take the score to 28‑21.

Meanwhile, the national side went down to South Africa 12‑7 in the Cup semifinal.

South Africa later won the cup final defeating New Zealand 24-12.

The reigning world series champions unleashed all their attacking firepower in what was a breathtaking display of sevens rugby across the two days.

With his most experienced side ever, head coach Neil Powell notched up his fifth tournament win of 2017 and continued South Africa's dominance on the global stage.

The next round of the series takes place in Cape Town next Saturday and Sunday, where Fiji is pooled with Samoa, Canada and Wales in Pool D.

England are the defending champions at the Cape Town 7s.
Looking at the points table, South Africa is leading with 22 points, New Zealand is in second place with 19 points, England is in third place with 17 points while Fiji is in fourth place with 15 points.
