The Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma says Christmas is not only for Christians as Jesus Christ came to save the world and not only Christians.

Church’s Secretary for Communications, Reverend Wilfred Regunamada says people should not forget the real reason behind Christmas and hopes that the blessings of Christmas will bring joy to each and every one during this festive season.

Regunamada adds they will continue to address the growing problem of drug abuse and domestic violence.

Regunamada says they have been directed by their President to always highlight these issues in all church meetings.

He says they have been in discussions with the Fiji Police Force to create ways to tackle the crisis and they have incorporated a program on the effects of drugs in their Sunday School lessons and in their Youth Ministries.
