Music is our common language - Mehta

Music is our common language - Mehta

Music transcends all cultures and religions and it is the common language of love and unity.

This was shared by the Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Suneet Mehta during the Veilomani Dosti concert last night.

Sukuna Park came to life after members of the Indian Navy Vessel Kadmatt performed musical numbers with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces in a concert.

Mehta says the INS Kadmatt is in Suva on a pivotal 3-day goodwill visit, symbolising the deepening partnership and vibrant cultural ties between India and Fiji.

He says at the outset of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s meeting in India, this Naval vessel is here to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.

Mehta emphasized the importance of the new Fiji and India Veilomani initiative and hopes more Veilomani Dosti programs will be initiated in the future.
