BulaFlights launches Fiji’s first locally built travel booking platform on Friday

A new era of travel convenience has arrived for Fijians with the official launch of BulaFlights on Friday, the country’s first locally developed flight search, compare, book and hold platform.

Proudly created in Fiji by Fijians for Fijians, BulaFlights aims to make travel simpler, faster and more secure.

Group Head of IT and Infrastructure, Pritesh Chandra, says the platform’s no-obligation booking feature allows users to reserve flights without immediate payment.

He says bookings are automatically cancelled without penalties if travellers decide not to proceed.

Chandra adds that members can access a personalised dashboard showing bookings, payment history and passenger details, and will receive confirmations and notices through an inbuilt messaging centre.

He says BulaFlights has strengthened its data privacy systems and allows users to permanently delete their accounts at any time.

Chandra higlights that the locally built system offers real-time flight data, Fijian-friendly payment options including M-PAiSA, MyCash, bank transfer, cash on delivery and credit card payments, and operates even with unstable internet connections.

He adds that BulaFlights will also introduce a loyalty and rewards program next month, where users can earn points for flights and redeem them for perks such as extra legroom or resort stays.

He says as part of its launch promotion, newsletter subscribers enter a weekly draw to win a $50 gift card.

Each booking will also include a free branded luggage tag and mousepad.

Chandra says the platform reflects Fiji’s growing strength in local technology and tourism, and reaffirms BulaFlights’ mission to give travellers more control, flexibility and choice.
