FMF Foods Limited has officially come on board as the major sponsor of the 2025 Hibiscus Festival, although the exact dates are yet to be confirmed.

Planned to take place at the Suva foreshore, the dates for the festival were earlier set as 23rd to 30th of August.

Suva City Council CEO Tevita Boseiwaqa says there are lot of views given on the weather - asking why Hibiscus will be held when it is bad weather.

He says it is now a balance between the weather and the school term as the festival is usually held during the school break.

Boseiwaqa says they are now trying to obtain meteorological information on the weather patterns and the forecast for the planned period.

While speaking on the announcement of a sponsor, Boseiwaqa says they were in urgent need of support and are truly grateful to FMF for stepping up when it mattered most.

He adds that, in order to prioritise public safety, they are working closely with various agencies and organising committees.

Boseiwaqa says the Hibiscus Festival is for everyone, regardless of background, and FMF’s support helps ensure that it continues.

FMF Group Operations Manager Jimi Taniela says the Hibiscus Festival is more than just an event – it is a tradition that celebrates our identity and brings people together.

He says the company is proud to play a major role in helping create an unforgettable experience for the entire community in 2025.

He adds that the partnership highlights FMF’s continued commitment to giving back to the people of Fiji, and to uplifting youth, culture, and local talent.
