Body found in cane field in Labasa

The body of a farmer in his 40s was found in a sugarcane field in Vatudova, Tabia Road, Labasa this morning.

Police received a call from an anonymous person who made the discovery after 6 this morning.

Crime Scene Investigation Officers were deployed and the victim's body has been taken to the Labasa Hospital.

Police confirm that a post mortem will be conducted soon as investigation continues.
