Truck driver charged

Charges have been laid against the 28-year-old truck driver involved in the fatal accident in Sabeto Nadi on Sunday where three people lost their lives.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the man has been charged with three counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of driving under the influence of liquor.

He is expected to appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

The man’s truck collided with a four-wheel drive in which the three deceased were traveling.

Meanwhile, one person involved in the accident is still admitted at the Nadi Hospital.
