The Digicel Fiji Sevens Team has a lot to prove in the opening IRB Sevens Series tournament in Dubai this weekend.
After the disappointment of being knocked out of the Cup semifinal stage last year, coach Iliesa Tanivula believes the Fijian rugby fans are owed a better performance this time.
Tanivula said that in the City of Gold, Fiji has dug deep in their past visits with all of their top players available but this team has only the likes of Emosi Vucago, Jerry Burotu, Watisoni Votu and Nasoni Roko as seasonaed players to guide the team in trying to end their 12 years of losing.
Fiji is in Pool D with Portugal, France and England.
They will start their 2010 Dubai Sevens campaign with Portugal on Friday at 6.20pm.
