Over $30million worth of damages have been reported so far from the flood affected areas between Nadroga to Ra.
Commissioner Western, Commander Joeli Cawaki has confirmed to fijivillage that this figure is expected to rise as their officials have not been able to reach some areas.
Cawaki adds the areas which have been severely affected by the floods are from Ba and Nadi.
In Ba, the areas include Votua, Nawaqarua, Natutu, Nasolo, Nailaqa, Ba town and nearby areas, Rarawai and Koro-nubu.
The areas in Nadi which have been severely affected by floods are areas near the Nadi town and Nadi river.
According to Cawaki more than 3,000 people have been the worst affected in these areas of which most are sugarcane farmers.
Meanwhile, the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama are currently visiting the flood affected areas of Rakiraki, Tavua and Ba.
Both will visit the flood affected areas of Lautoka, Nadi and Sigatoka tomorrow.
