Speeding drivers face licenses being suspended
“Habitual offender’s licenses will be suspended.”

These are the words of Land Transport Authority, CEO, Naisa Tuinaceva who said they are stepping up on taking road offenders to task.

Tuinaceva said speeding is the number one killer on Fiji roads and enough awareness has been created in regards to this so people who continue to disregard the laws will be taken to task.

Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said issues of speeding have been addressed numerous times yet people continue to be reckless on the roads.

She said police following the recent spate of road accidents the highway traffic officers are covering all speed prone areas.

The road death toll currently stands at 15 compared to 14 last year.
