Fiji’s hopes of IRB 7s title depend on NZ losing
The Digicel Fiji 7s team will hope that New Zealand loses in the Cup quarter finals and does not qualify for the Plate final in order for Fiji to stand a chance of claiming the IRB title.

If South Africa does beat New Zealand in the quarter final, then Fiji will need to win the England tournament and hope that New Zealand does not qualify for the plate final.

New Zealand is on 150 points and only need 12 points to claim their 10th title while Fiji is 2nd on 139 points and need 22 points.

Fiji will meet host England in the second Cup quarter finals at 10.20 tonight.

The Cup quarterfinal starts at 9.58pm with New Zealand taking on South Africa, at 10.20pm Fiji meets England, Australia tackles Argentina at 10.42pm and at 11.04pm Samoa takes on Spain.

The Cup semi finals starts tomorrow morning at 2.42 and the Cup final is at 5.56am.
