FRU cancels 3rd leg of Provincial 7s series

The Fiji Rugby Union has cancelled the third leg of the Fiji TV sponsored Provincial 7s Series that was scheduled for this Saturday, 18 February at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

FRU revealed the recent spate of rain and flash floods occurring right around the country, and in particular in the Western Division has resulted in this cancellation.

This will mean instead of the traditional four tournaments the Fiji TV Provincial 7s Series 2011/12 will have only three tournaments.

As a result of this decision the current top 12 teams from the first two legs of the series will automatically qualify into the finals of the Fiji TV Provincial 7s Series that will be held at the National Stadium in Suva on the 25 February.
