The Flying Fijians left Nadi this morning for their first Pacific Nations Cup this weekend against Tonga and Coach Ilivasi Tabua knows that the Tongans will give the Fijians a good run for their money.
Speaking to Fijivillage Sports, Tabua said they have game plans in place to counter the home-crowd but the boys know it will be tough.
The Flying Fijians lost to Tonga in the same tournament by 27-16 last year, and the Naivicula native has stressed that if the boys get the basics right than it will be a good outing in Nukualofa.
The Pacific Nations Cup kicks off on Friday with Samoa hosting the junior All Blacks in Apia and the Flying Fijians meet Tonga in Nuku'alofa.
