No confirmation yet on water rehabilitation works
The Water Authority of Fiji cannot confirm when rehabilitation works in Ba and Lautoka will be completed due to the change in weather conditions.

Spokesperson Maika Nagalu told Fijivillage that engineers at the sites are currently trying their best but work has been delayed.

Nagalu said repairs have been carried out at the Buabua Dam and Buabua Treatment Plant in Lautoka.

They have also carried out maintenance works at the Moto and the Waiwai Dam in Ba.

He said four water trucks are carting water and water tanks have been placed along areas that used to receive supply from the Buabua Treatment Plant.

The Buabua Treatment Plant is still rationing supply to Naikabula, Waiyavi Stage 5, Tomuka and along the Kings Road.

Nagalu added that eight water trucks continue to cart water to the schools and water tanks have been placed in villages, settlements and schools in Ba.

Meanwhile the town areas of Ba and Ba Mission Hospital are receiving normal water supply as of yesterday.
