National sevens rugby coach Alifereti Dere will confirm on Monday whether a shadow national team or teams will take part in the Uprising 7s.
Dere said he will need to discuss this issue with his assistant Timoci Wainiqolo when the 21 member team marches into camp.
Dere added they used to have scrimmaging sessions before a tournament but they will decide with Wainiqolo if the players should be tested at the Uprising 7s.
Last year the national side fielded two teams.
Meanwhile, Red Rock, Army, Police, hosts Uprising and defending champions Wardens are the local confirmed teams for the two days meet.
The Uprising 7s will be held at Churchill Park form the 18th and 19th of this month.
