Constituent Assembly likely to be appointed next week
The Constituent Assembly which will deliberate on the draft constitution is most likely to be appointed sometime next week.

Permanent Secretary for the Prime Minister's office Pio Tikoduadua said the response has been overwhelming as they have received more than three hundred applications.

Tikoduadua said these applicants cover a wide range of representation of the community.  


Tikoduadua said they are now in the process of collating. 


According to the Fiji Constitutional Process Decree 2012, the Constituent Assembly is to hold its first sitting next week.

The work of the Constituent Assembly is expected to be completed by late March.
