Sevens team in final
The Fiji sevens team is through to the gold medal playoff in the Mini Games after beating Tonga 26-7 in the first semifinal.

Surprisingly, the Iliesa Tanivula coached side took time to settle as they were down 7-nil at halftime.

After strong words from Tanivula, the side came back in the second half to score four unanswered tries to win the game.

Fiji will play Samoa in the finals at 1.40pm

At 2.30pm, the closing ceremony will begin and participating countries will say goodbye to hosts Cook Islands and await the next one in 2013 in Wallis and Futuna.

The sporting festival has been marred by Wednesday's devastating tsunami in the Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga.

The flags of all countries and the Pacific Games flag are flying at half mast.

Meanwhile, Fiji leads the medal tally with 32 gold, 23 silver and 20 bronze.

New Caledonia is in second place with 21 gold, 20 silver and 21 bronze.
