Pacific Islanders cannot address the issue of cyber crime

Fiji and all Pacific island countries cannot address the issue of cyber-crime or cyber advancement on their own.

That is the sentiment of the Attorney General and the Minister for Justice, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum earlier this week while addressing participants at the first IT Workshop organised by the Secretariat of the Pacific Communities in Suva.

Sayed Khaiyum said that while Fiji has been able to introduce laws that deal with crimes such as pornography and crimes committed through the internet, more needs to be done.
