The Health Ministry is advising parents to supervise their teenagers as they look at addressing drug, alcohol and nutritional issues among youths.
Adolescent Health project officer Sister Sulueti Duvaga said that based on reports from police and the ministry, the most risky behavior youths tend to engage in is alcohol and drug abuse.
She added that another health issue is that teenagers tend to indulge in eating junk food as a result of not eating at the right time.
Duvaga said parents should continue to advice and guide their teenagers even as they get nearer to an independent age.
