Doctors in the Northern and Western Division are seeing around four to five patients daily with Typhoid like symptoms.
The President of Fiji College of General Practitioners and a doctor based in Nadi, Dr Ram Raju said private doctors in the western division refer 2 to 3 cases daily to the Hospitals for further treatment of patients with Typhoid like symptoms.
He said people need to be aware of what they eat as well, apart from just concentrating on drinking water.
Meanwhile, another Medical Practitioner in the Northern Division, Dr Pradeep Singh said they have seen an increase in the patients with Typhoid like symptoms recently with about 3 to 4 cases referred to the Labasa Hospital daily.
There are now 99 cases of typhoid in the country.
