National Employment Centre to finalise compulsory job attachment

The National Employment Centre is expected to start visiting all employers around the country in two weeks time to finalise the 6 months of compulsory job attachment.

Under the National Employment Centre Decree which was gazetted this year, all companies will have to take on people registered with the Centre on a ratio of 5 percent of their total workforce.

This attachment will be on a 6 months basis.

NEC Director Viliame Baledrokadroka said that they have had talks with the Fiji Employers Federation and are now focusing on other bodies and companies.
