Police have now extended their drunk driving warnings to horses and bicycles.
This after a 62 year old man who was under the influence of liquor on a bicycle lost his life on our roads last night after he was hit by a vehicle in Ba.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that this is the first fatal accident of the second day of New Year.
The driver of the private car is now in police custody.
Meanwhile, late last year, a man died after he was riding his horse in the middle of the road in Tavua.
