Netball Fiji stands by decision
Netball Fiji President Milika Munivai has today clarified that despite the results from South Africa, the Netball Fiji Council stands by their decision to sack Coach Melissa Walker and Manager Veniana Galuinadi.

Munivai told Fijivillage that the Council decision is final and they are just awaiting the arrival of the team from South Africa to formally inform the duo of the decision that has been made.

Munivai added that the National team will not be taking part in the Pacific Cup Netball Series in Samoa this month and have cited financial difficulties in sending the team, after the National Netball side went on the South African tour, despite NFA calling off the tour.

It is understood that Walker and Galuinadi were terminated after they had made direct arrangements with the South African Netball Association to fund their tour after the Fiji Netball Council pulled the plug on the tour.

The Samoa Netball Association has voiced their disappointment over the news that Fiji has pulled out from competing in the launch of the first Pacific Netball Series to be held in Apia next week.
