Arsenal secured a 1-nil win over Nottingham Forest after substitute Noni Madueke scored in the second half to earn the defending champions their sixth Premier League win of the season.
The Gunners looked set to be held to their first draw of the campaign as they struggled to break down Forest’s defence.
Neither side managed a shot on target in a disappointing first half, making it only the second time this Premier League season that a match had reached half-time without either team testing the goalkeeper.
The first occasion also involved Arsenal, in their match against Aston Villa on 31st August, when Bukayo Saka scored in the second half to secure a 1-nil win.
Arsenal once again found a way to claim all three points, with Madueke, who replaced Eberechi Eze at half-time, seeing his shot deflect off Daniel Munoz and into the net.
However, poor finishing proved costly for Forest as they continue their search for their first home win of the season.
In other matches, Bournemouth beat Sunderland 2-nil, Brighton & Hove Albion thrashed Crystal Palace 5-nil, while Leeds United and Manchester United played out a 1-all draw.
Manchester City lead the Premier League table with 21 points, followed by Arsenal in second place with 18 points, Brighton & Hove Albion in third with 16 points, and Chelsea in fourth with 13 points.
