Balancing school, work and rugby training has not been easy for the Suva Under-20 players, but their hard work has paid off with a 49-19 victory over Taveuni to secure a place in the semi-finals.
Suva Under-20 vice-captain John Jikoibau says many players have had to juggle their training commitments with their studies and jobs throughout the season.
He says despite these challenges, the players have remained committed to the team, and reaching the semi-finals after 11 rounds means a lot to them.
Jikoibau also praised Taveuni for putting up a strong fight, saying Suva did not expect such a tough challenge.
He thanked God for giving the team strength and acknowledged the support of their parents, team management and supporters who have stood by them throughout the season.
Jikoibau says the team will remain focused on their preparations as they look ahead to the semi-finals.
