Fiji Airways is set to significantly expand its international network in 2027, adding more than 125,000 seats across key markets in response to strong demand for travel to Fiji.
The national airline says the expansion, which will be delivered within its existing fleet, will provide travellers with greater choice and flexibility while strengthening Nadi’s role as a regional aviation hub.
It says the additional capacity reflects Fiji Airways’ continued focus on responding to market demand while strengthening connectivity between Fiji and its key international markets.

It adds that the 2027 schedule includes the launch of new services to Western Sydney, alongside increased frequencies to Hong Kong, Christchurch, Singapore and Tokyo.
Key network enhancements for 2027 include the launch of three weekly flights to Western Sydney from 19th March 2027, adding approximately 42,000 seats.
There will also be an increase from three to five weekly services to Hong Kong from February 2027, adding approximately 40,500 seats, and an increase from three to five weekly services to Christchurch from March 2027, adding approximately 20,000 seats.

Services to Singapore will increase from two to three weekly flights from March 2027, adding approximately 20,000 seats, while services to Tokyo will increase from two to three weekly flights in April and again from August 2027, adding approximately 13,600 seats.
Fiji Airways says these developments build on network growth already announced, including the increase from 11 to 14 weekly services to Apia, adding approximately 24,000 seats.
This includes the launch of three weekly services to the Gold Coast in June 2026, adding approximately 22,800 seats, the introduction of the Airbus A350 on three weekly services to Vancouver, adding approximately 17,500 seats, and the relaunch of Noumea flights on 22nd September, which will add up to 8,000 seats.

It says together, these network developments will provide more opportunities for passengers to travel to Fiji while strengthening connections through Nadi to destinations across the wider Fiji Airways and oneworld network.
Fiji Airways Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Paul Scurrah says the expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to responding to passenger demand while strengthening Fiji’s international connectivity.
He says they are excited to expand their network in 2027 and give more people around the world greater access to Fiji.
Scurrah says they are seeing strong demand from travellers choosing Fiji, and these additional services will provide greater choice and flexibility while making it easier for passengers to connect through Nadi to destinations across the wider network.

He adds that this growth strengthens the connections between Fiji and its key international markets, supporting tourism, businesses, communities and the many Fijians whose livelihoods depend on a strong visitor economy.
The CEO says they look forward to welcoming even more of their friends from Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada and Samoa onboard Fiji Airways and sharing the warmth and hospitality Fiji is known for.
