The management of Nasinu Secondary School has installed security cameras to help address the growing number of disciplinary cases within the school.

School Principal, Apisalome Vunisa says they have installed eight cameras in strategic locations around the school.

Vunisa says the cameras were installed earlier this year after reports that student borders were smoking in the school toilets at night.

Light sensors have also been installed in these popular smoking areas for students.

Vunisa says the cameras have the capacity to record 30-days of footage.

The Nasinu Parents and Teachers Association partnered with the school management on this initiative.

It has also been considered by the Ministry of Education.
