Firefighters contain fire at New World Supermarket in Raiwasa

Firefighters have managed to contain a fire at New World Supermarket in Shalimar Street in Raiwasa.

The fire started before 8 this morning.

Police had confirmed that all the staff of New World had been evacuated from the building.

Police had also cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure as there are gas cylinders close to the entrance of the supermarket.

Two fire trucks were at the scene.
