The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s preparation for the HSBC SVNS Singapore 7s has intensified as they build on their successes from the last tournament.
The Fijiana 7s side kicked off the 2025/2026 HSBC World 7s Series on a high note, finishing third at the Dubai 7s, but dropped in performance in Cape Town, where they finished second last.
In the women’s standings, the Fijiana are in sixth place with 22 points.
The side held their training session at the Uprising Sports Centre at Pacific Harbour, where every drop of sweat transforms pain into power.
Some key players seen during their training session include Reapi Uluinasau, Lavena Cavuru, Adi Vani Buleki, Verenaisi Ditavutu, and Adimereani Rogosau.
Coach Richie Walker highlighted that they had some good learnings from the two previous tournaments, but they made a couple of errors during the Cape Town leg.
He says they will work on their weaknesses before their next tournaments in Singapore and Perth.
The Fijiana 7s are in Pool A with Cape Town 7s champions Australia, USA, and Japan.
The Singapore 7s will be held on the 31st of January and the 1st of February.
