With Extra Bula FC in the top four of the OFC Pro League, head coach Stéphane Auvray says satisfaction comes from transforming amateur players into professionals with determination and a winning mentality.
Following the 2-1 win over Auckland FC in their last match of phase 1, Auvray says they started very well in terms of their playing style but could not capitalise on the chances.
He says they wanted to build confidence in the players, so they adjusted their approach and sacrificed some of that style to secure wins.
Auvray says now they need to return to a better structure and game management because that approach is not sustainable in the long term and not what he wants for the players.
