Ba FC has maintained its place at the top of the Extra Premier League standings after thrashing Lautoka FC 4-1 yesterday.
The victory sees the Men in Black remain at the top of the table with 33 points, one point ahead of second-placed Labasa FC, who edged Navua FC 1-0.
Rewa FC remains in third place with 29 points after playing out a 1-1 draw with Nadi FC.
Meanwhile, Nadroga FC defeated Nasinu FC 1-0, while Tailevu Naitasiri FC claimed a thrilling 3-2 win over Suva FC.
With just three rounds remaining in the Extra Premier League season, the race for the league title is heating up as teams also look to build momentum heading into one of Fiji's most prestigious football tournaments, the Extra Battle of the Giants.
Ba, Labasa, Rewa, Lautoka, Navua, Suva, Nadi and Nasinu have all secured their places in the tournament.
Nadi has bounced back strongly after missing out on the BiC Fiji FACT earlier this season to secure its place in the Battle of the Giants.
Meanwhile, Nadroga and Tailevu Naitasiri have missed out after finishing outside the top eight and will not feature in this year's tournament.
The Battle of the Giants pool matches will be played from 4th to 6th September, with the semi-finals and final scheduled for the following week at 4R Stadium, Govind Park.
