Barcelona missed the chance to go top of La Liga after losing 2-1 to Girona FC at Estadi Montilivi this morning.
Barcelona played well in the first half but were unlucky; Raphinha hit the post, and Lamine Yamal missed a penalty after Dani Olmo was fouled.
Barca took the lead in the 59th minute when Pau Cubarsí scored with a header from Jules Kounde’s cross but Girona quickly equalised through Thomas Lemar.
Late in the game, Fran Beltran scored the winner and although Barcelona tried to score again, even after Joel Roca was sent off, they could not find a goal.
Barcelona now have 58 points, two behind Real Madrid, and have lost two matches in a row in all competitions.
